Family is not just made of a father, a mother, and children. Family can also be made of people who may not be related by blood, but connected by heart.
Mr. Church is about a movie of a single mother and her child, who met a cook, whom they called Mr. Church, portrayed by the comedy actor, Eddie Murphy. He was assigned to take care of Charlie and her Mom, since the latter was said to only have 6 more months to live. Fortunately, 6 months turned into 6 years, and Charlie’s Mom survived until then. And since cancer is not an easy disease, she still died before Charlie grew up into a more refined lady. Her death did not cut the bond between Charlie and Mr. Church. Instead, their relationship as a family continued and got stronger even after Charlie had a baby.
I liked how Eddie Murphy portrayed his character which was kind of unusual. His character was a bit serious and touching. Eddie is a really versatile actor. I never thought he would be able to make me cry.
The movie, all in all, is awesome and touching. It made me fix my eye into it. The cast, the plot, and everything about this movie are perfect. This is definitely a must watch. This movie deserves a 9/10 rating.
